Querebús Tour, Querétaro's Sightseeing Bus
Querebús
At the designated time, we'll meet at the Jardín de la Corregidora, right in the heart of Santiago de Querétaro. Once everyone's together, we'll board the Querebús, a sightseeing bus that takes in the historic center from a panoramic perspective. A comfortable route packed with fascinating stories!
Over the course of an hour, we'll pass the most iconic landmarks in Santiago de Querétaro. Did you know the city's historic center was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site?
We'll begin by heading to the Templo de San Antonio de Padua, one of the oldest colonial buildings in the city. We'll then pass the Monumento al Apóstol Santiago el Mayor on the Cerro del Sangremal. Inaugurated in 1996, this monument pays tribute to the founding of the city, and we'll tell you the story of how the municipality officially reclaimed its historic name of Santiago de Querétaro.
Next, we'll stop at the Santuario y Convento de la Santa Cruz de los Milagros, where we'll spend approximately 15 minutes so you can get a closer look at one of the most important churches in Querétaro.
Back aboard the Querebús, we'll pass the Plaza de los Fundadores and the Querétaro Aqueduct, known locally as Los Arcos and the city's most emblematic monument. Throughout the route, your guide on board will share plenty of curiosities about every place we pass.
In the final stretch, we'll admire the Fuente del Ahorcado, the Alameda Hidalgo, the Plaza de la Constitución, and of course the Templo de San Francisco de Asís, essential for understanding the urban, economic, and religious development of the region.
The tour comes to an end at this last church after 1 hour on the road.
