Translate this opinion into English.

The cruise is an essential activity if you visit Porto. The river walk is beautiful, and very well organized. Just a note (for people who do not read the information they receive, and then criticize for lack of knowledge): the CIVITATIS VOUCHER must be PRINTED (in the rest of the Freetours it is not necessary but here it IS) and present it PREVIOUSLY in the tent that There is at the dock where you can exchange them for TICKETS to access the boat. Al.final entramos los ultimos Translate this opinion into English.

The only thing is that once you have your ticket reserved, you get in line, and almost at the entrance they tell you that you need a paper that is given at the counter. It would be so easy to have a reader. Losing your spot to get on the boat. In the end, we were the last to board. Opinion translated. Show original.

Translate this opinion into English.

There's an audio guide that provides a brief explanation in different languages of what you see and hear through the speakers, but you can also download an app and listen to it on your phone; this option is better because the sound quality is better. We requested a time change and they sorted it out without any problem. Everything was great. Opinion translated. Show original.

The cruise itself is very pleasant, but too short for my taste. They could make it stand out by serving Vinho Verde or a soft drink, because it's a bit expensive for a 50-minute trip. I really disliked the confusion caused by the tour operators Civitatis works with. This is something to keep in mind when validating tickets. I didn't realize this information isn't clear in the booking. I waited at the wrong dock.

Translate this opinion into English.

A highly recommended experience. We were very lucky with the weather, as it was a spectacular day (we took the excursion at 6:30 and the sun was just starting to set, so the light was beautiful). The views are stunning, it's worth it. They have an audio guide in several languages. Before boarding the boat, you need to validate the tickets at a booth in the port, and they will give you another one. The trip lasted about 40-50 minutes. Opinion translated. Show original.

The service on land was good; they were very kind and helpful, and that was the extent of our interaction with the staff. We boarded the boat, sat down, and tried to understand the explanations broadcast over the small speakers. After the 50-minute crossing, we disembarked. The explanations were difficult to follow due to the noise from the boat itself; at departure and arrival, the noise made it impossible to hear anything. Once you boarded and the boat set sail, the crew disappeared.

The activity itself is good, as is the boat's infrastructure. The boarding process upon arrival could be improved. A queue forms at the door, and no employee comes to inform you of anything. Then they tell you that a stand covered in all sorts of advertising names, with Tomaz Douro barely visible, is the ticket office, and you have to go there first to validate your ticket…

Although the booking was in Spanish, the explanations were given in several languages, were brief, and offered very little information about the different bridges.

The good: We were traveling with an elderly person who has difficulty moving around, and they changed the time for us without any problems. The bad: There are many cruise ships at the same time. The pier is long. You need to be precise with your coordinates. Could be improved: When giving information in four languages, in the case of Spanish, which is the last language, the ship has already passed by. I had to correct some Spanish speakers who were looking at buildings that didn't correspond to what was being explained over the PA system.

Everything was great. Just to point out, the cruise booking didn't mention anywhere that I needed to validate my reservation at the counter, and after waiting in line for over 20 minutes, I lost my place in line to get my seat on the boat because I had to validate my reservation. These things need to be addressed, as I boarded last and took the remaining side seats, having arrived at the meeting point 30 minutes early.

The six-deck cruise is recommended, but they don't warn you that you need to arrive early to get a seat outside the ship, or that if you make two reservations you might end up traveling with different companies on different ships and won't be traveling together.

What we liked most was being splashed by the waves, but honestly, we wouldn't do it again, although seeing the bridges is something to do at least once. The talk explaining each bridge was very quiet, so we couldn't hear anything. I think it would be more interesting if someone were explaining interesting facts or history, like on the free tour.

Crucero con explicaciones grabadas. Cuatro idiomas.

Cruise with recorded commentary. Four languages. Spanish was the last. Portuguese as we approached the monument, English at the monument, French past the monument, Spanish... you can imagine. In the last third, the PA system broke down (or they simply turned the volume down; it was barely audible in the background), and that was the end of the problem. Last cruise of the day, a rush to finish. Not bad, but could be better.

Translate this opinion into English.

Taking the Douro River cruise was a fantastic experience, especially since we had a spectacular sunny day. The route is beautiful and offers an incredible panoramic view of both Porto and the Vila Nova de Gaia riverbank. Bien.

Good. The tour is beautiful and what I expected. As a side note, the explanation during the tour is over a loudspeaker (I think it's a recording), but the sound quality isn't very good. They could provide a headphone system for better audio. They could sell the headphones for €1, for example.

Translate this opinion into English.

Images and videos of any place in the world are readily available, even easy to find, but the aromas, the climate, the true scale of things, their charm, the idiosyncrasies of the people, the wind, the sun, the rain—in short, the real world—cannot be captured in a photo or video.

Typical experience that tourists have. I took it thinking there was a DJ and it lasted two hours. I don't know if I misunderstood or if it was poorly explained (I read that it included 2 beers or one spirit drink). You take a circular route along the river and see 6 bridges. The explanations in Spanish, at times, come after you have already passed the place being reviewed.
