Day Trip to Puerto Escondido
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Oaxaca. Over the roughly 3-hour journey, you'll take in the spectacular scenery of the Sierra Madre del Sur, along with a surprising diversity of plant and animal life along the way.
On arriving in Puerto Escondido, we'll board a boat to explore the beaches of Puerto Angelito, Manzanillo, Carrizalillo, and Zicatela, the latter famous for its surf. We'll then head out to open water in the hope of spotting dolphins, turtles, and whales.
From the boat, you'll have countless photo opportunities, both of the beautiful landscapes we pass and of the native species we come across along the way.
We'll then disembark at Zicatela beach, where you can relax in the sun on its fine sand. Here, at Punta Zicatela, you'll have the rest of the day free to enjoy water activities, sample the local food, or take part in a turtle release activity. Unforgettable!
Of course, you can also use this free time to sunbathe, stroll along the beach, or simply relax in these idyllic surroundings.
After watching the sunset in this beautiful spot, we'll head back to Oaxaca, saying our goodbyes at your hotel after a total of 14 to 15 hours.
