9/11 Memorial & Museum Tour
We'll meet at the scheduled time at the entrance to the 9/11 Memorial & Museum's main pavilion, located above the Memorial site.
Accompanied by your guide, you will descend into over 10763 ft² (10,000 m²) of exhibition space built directly upon the original foundations of the Twin Towers. During the guided tour, we'll explore the site's key halls and galleries.
As we move through the museum, we'll view authentic archaeological remnants from the original World Trade Center complex, such as the famous "Survivors' Stairs," the structure that allowed hundreds of people to escape that morning.
Next, we'll enter the monumental spaces located at the base of the building. In Memorial Hall, situated between the footprints of the two towers, we'll view a work by artist Tom Joyce, fashioned from salvaged steel, bearing the quote by the poet Virgil: "No day shall erase you from the memory of time."
Later, we'll visit Foundation Hall to admire the imposing slurry wall that withstood the collapse, as well as the "Last Column"—the final piece of steel removed from Ground Zero, covered in inscriptions and mementos left by rescue teams.
After the 1-hour guided tour concludes, you are free to remain inside the museum and explore the historical and interactive exhibitions at your own pace.
