It was ok. The cathedral was beautiful but the museum wasn't really that worthy. So the price was a bit much for what the experience was worth.

Mdina Cathedral & Museum Ticket

St. Paul's Cathedral is the most important Catholic religious temple in Mdina. This historic Baroque style building's origins date back to the end of the 17th century.

While the exterior facade of the temple is sober, its interior never fails to surprise its visitors. Colorful frescoes, polished marble, Irish wood altarpieces, beautiful stained-glass windows, elegant statues - you won't be disappointed!

During your visit, you can also learn about the history of the cathedral of Mdina by reading the information panels in the temple. According to tradition, the building was erected on the site where St. Publius used to live. Did you know that this saint turned Malta into the first Christian nation in the West? You'll find out about this and many other interesting facts about this beautiful construction.

What's more, the entrance ticket to St. Paul's Cathedral will give you access to the Cathedral Museum, annexed to the temple. Here, you'll discover a large collection of objects acquired by the Church, ranging from silver sculptures to ancient coins and engravings by Albrecht Dürer, the most famous artist of the German Renaissance. This museum is definitely another must-see in Mdina.
